GBRf celebrates new £5.75m Peterborough Depot

GBRf (Short for Great British Railfreight) opened the doors of it’s brand new Peterborough maintenace facility on the 26th of September. The £5.75m new depot was build in just 10 months on what was now a rather derelict plot of land on the East Coast Main Line. The new high-tech state-of-the-art facillity will give GBRf more space for it’s ever expanding fleet, much more than the older, existing ajacent two-lane locomotive shed would allow (This will still be used alongside the new depot).
